Some Common Messenger Problems

How To Uninstall Windows Messenger From XP:-

Start>Run>Type in:RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %windir%\INF\msmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove>Ok

Stopping Messenger from automatically loading with Outlook Express:-

Open Outlook Express>Tools>Options>Uncheck 'Automatically log on to Windows Messenger'.

All Contacts are green in colour as if All Are Online:-
This happens if the updated beta video driver is not fully compatible.Just roll back the driver.

You cannot start Windows Messenger after you install Windows XP Service Pack 2

Start>Run>Type in:Firewall.cpl>ok

On the Exceptions tab, click to select the Windows Messenger check box in Programs and Services.>ok

Check the .NET Service Status Check here first if you are having problems signing in to Windows Messenger or making a voice call to another computer.
